Changchun Railway Station in Changchun, capital of Northeast China’s Jilin province, is expected to see 7.45 million passengers during this year’s summer travel rush, which began on July 1 and will end on Aug 31, lasting 62 days.
The majority of travelers are expected to be students and tourists, and the peak travel periods are expected to be July 13-14, 21-23, 27-29, and Aug 24-26.
The most popular destinations are expected to include Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian in Liaoning province, Xi’an in Shaanxi province and Hailaar in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
In order to meet passengers’ travel demands, Changchun Railway Station is looking to introduce 23 pairs of temporary trains traveling to nearby places such as Yanji and Hunchun.
The station also improved services for passengers, introducing facial recognition ticket scanners and increasing the number of staff.
