The China Local Railway Association was established in 1984, and is responsible for the management of the local railway industry in China. It prepares medium to long-term development plans for local railways, coordinates the joint construction and operation of lines between the national and municipal railway companies, and carries out technical consulting work. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shanghai is a trade and investment institution backed by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government that promotes international exchange and cooperation. Founded in July 2016, Shanghai Intex Exhibition Co., Ltd was originally the exhibition organizing business of Intex Shanghai, a pioneering exhibition organizer established in 1995 and now independent of the Intex venue management business. Shanghai Intex is jointly overseen by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shanghai and PNO Exhibition Investment (Dubai) Limited.
